Casa Primavera

Designed by Christina Arnoldi, this private residence situated north of Copenhagen balances a soft feminine expression with masculine details, incorporating both Scandinavian and Italian design. The 1920s villa has gained a modern touch with Christina’s 2017 interior remodel, where the light, open living space is framed by a use of delicate, inviting colours and light wooden floors throughout. The idea was to create an invigorating space that would express energy and positivity, while maintaining a calming sense of continuity. Adding another layer of depth and tradition to the interior, the house is enhanced with vintage design classics as well as modern pieces. Rather than creating sharp contrast, Christina manages to use classic designs that aesthetically go hand in hand with the contemporary, resulting in a house where worlds meet rather than collide.

Contrasts are to be found in the textures of the interior, where soft fabrics and comfortable seating surrounds the house’s sharp lines and robust-looking pieces of brass and marble. This use of natural materials permeates the interior, which includes pieces from Gallotti&Radice, GUBI, vintage Hans Wegner, Gaggenau, and LA FAMIGLIA COLLECTION by Christina Arnoldi. Mirroring the feel of Christina’s furniture collection, the Italian meets the Scandinavian just as the modern meets the traditional in Casa Primavera.
